Cecilia “Pudge” Kleinkauf has owned and operated Women’s Flyfishing®, her instruction and guide service, for 20 of the 37 years she has lived and fished in Alaska. She teaches women how to fly fish and guides them on trips throughout Alaska, and in Mexico. She is also a fly tyer and presenter on fly fishing for women at outdoor shows, fly shops, and fly fishing clubs around the country.

Pudge’s first book, Fly Fishing Women Explore Alaska, Epicenter Press 2003, was a finalist for two national book awards. Besides being a contributing editor for Fish Alaska Magazine, she also writes for the print media and for numerous sites on the World Wide Web. The Women’s Flyfishing® web site is recognized as the Internet’s leading resource for women who fly fish.

In addition to being a fly fishing professional, Pudge is an attorney and a retired university professor.

Pudge has been featured in numerous magazine and newspaper articles. She is also one of the Special Explorers on the PBS television series, Alaska Magazine Television. Pudge is a member of many fly fishing organizations and serves on the Board of Directors for the International Women Fly Fishers. She is a member of the pro staff of Ross Reels, Mustad ® Hooks, and Patagonia®.
